A few thoughts....
With a set of values including "tolerance", "understanding" and "education", to bluntly describe something as "evil" seems a little hypocritical. I'd go so far as to say there can be no justification. The concept of evil implies a division (of whatever) into good and evil - who decides which is what? Who decided communism and socialism were evil?

Exactly. Given many would argue a true communist or socialist state has yet to be formed, how can you use evidence from those who merely "claim to be" as evidence against?
The notion of good/evil is not rational, and rationality, even if not explicitly stated, appears to be central to your ethos.
